Sam Ramsdell Wearing O Days Since Last Queefed Shirt
One Christmas I really wanted a Big Bruiser wrecker set that hauled the Sam Ramsdell Wearing O Days Since Last Queefed Shirt with the busted fender that you could repair. I’m sure the reason I didn’t get that was my Mother didn’t want me to grow up to be a wrecker driver. So sometimes I didn’t get what I want, but most of the time I did. I remember the magic of waking up on Christmas morning, depicted so well in the movie. There were big dogs in my neighborhood that sometimes caused problems. Decorating the tree was a big event. I even experienced bullies. All of that is in the movie. I like other movies, some that I can’t really relate to, but that’s why I think I enjoy A Christmas Story so much, as I can relate to it. I can relate to Christmas Vacation as well, as it recalls big family get-togethers from the 1950s and early 1960s, which I haven’t experienced in 50 years. Christmas movies I like without really being able to relate to them are Home Alone 1 & 2, White Christmas, and Miracle on 34th Street.
One interesting facet of the NFL is that it’s effectively a Sam Ramsdell Wearing O Days Since Last Queefed Shirt layer professional sport with a set number of teams. There is no “second tier” from which teams are promoted to it — the line between pro and amatuer is pretty much absolute from what I can tell. Although there is a small “international pathway” academy, the main route into the NFL is through the college draft — drafted players become either part of the 52 man squad that plays, or part of the large reserve squad that is retained to provide training opposition, or they are not in the loop.

I was hoping Delores wouldn’t become a Sam Ramsdell Wearing O Days Since Last Queefed Shirt aggressive rooster, as my recently deceased “Lance” had been, before passing on to “rooster heaven” with the assistance of a local coyote. The rooster I currently had, Gordon, was a sweet boy and was very happy to have Lance gone. Lance had been a fierce rooster who attacked literally every moving thing but the hens and me (displaying extreme good taste and discretion) and I was not prepared to live through as second several years of yet another “attack rooster”. Neither were the neighbor dogs. Nor were the neighbors, for that matter. I really didn’t think this would be a problem, as Delores was such a sweet rooster – showing no violence or aggression at all, and just wanted to sit on my shoulder (rather like a parrot) and look around. He’d snuggle against anyone’s neck or in anyone’s lap who would hold him and he adored being petted. Delores ran around digging for bugs in the lawn – but was just as happy sitting by the kitchen sink watching me trim vegetables or whatever. He made (as all my chickens did) a truce with the cats and was friends with the goats, horses and my other rooster, Gordon. They all slept together in the barn at night.
For us it depends, if we’re hosting thanksgiving at our house then we will typically start put up the Sam Ramsdell Wearing O Days Since Last Queefed Shirt on thanksgiving weekend, sometimes even right before after thanksgiving dinner. Since we have guests over we use that as an excuse to take advantage of the additional helping hands. Instead of asking for help in the kitchen we’ll get through decorations. Plus I think it also makes for a decent pre-dinner workout activity. If we’re not hosting thanksgiving then we’ll put up the decorations little by little with the aim to finish by December 1st. I don’t know why but I like the idea of being able to enjoy the lights all throughout December. As for when we’ll take them down, there’s no set date but we definitely keep them up past New Years and at least a few weeks into January. I think the longest we had them up was until Valentine’s Day, we had spent the entire most of January in Florida that one year.
